![]() Mel Gibson & the Pants My love for Mel Gibson & the Pants is no secret. Let's just say I think they are one of the most inventive and stunningly original groups on the Twin Cities scene and leave at it that. If you want to know in further detail what makes the group's fusion of rapid-fire rhymes, post-rock mayhem, and crazed machine manipulated beats so darn special than you can check out some feature stories I wrote on them for the Pulse of the Twin Cities (R.I.P.) earlier this year and back in 2005 . Needless to say I'm quite stoked that they've been made the artist in Residency for December's Reveille sponsored Minnniseries this month at the Nomad World Pub on Minneapolis' West Bank. Every show is free and each Thursday night brings a different bevy of special guests. So if you're of bar-going age there's really no excuse to not catch at least one of these shows (if not all four). Listen to "Where It Hurts" from this year's Sea vs. Shining Sea Mel Gibson and the Pants on MySpace ![]() COMING UP: Mel Gibson & the Pants play the Minniseries at the Nomad World Pub every Thursday in December with various special guests. Music starts around 10 p.m. Free. 21+ |
