This Wednesday, IPR is presenting a Minnesota songwriter showcase with Adam Levy of the Honeydogs, Haley Bonar, and Jeremy Messersmith. It's going down at the IPR Green Room (a small cafe on the corner of Washington and 3rd Ave), and capacity is extremely limited—in the neighborhood of 100 people—so get there early. Show starts at 8 pm, it's free, and it's all-ages, plus it'll feature Q&A with the artists. Really, it sounds just great; you should probably go. Here are some artist bios from the press release:

Haley Bonar, Minneapolis’ own singer/songwriter and Artist of the Year (2006, City Pages), will grace the stage and fill the room with her mature, philosophical, and enlightening sounds. Voted Best American Roots Recording for Lure the Fox (2006, Minnesota Music Awards), the eclectically influenced songstress will exemplify what the Minneapolis music scene has to offer.

The December 5 show will feature IPR’s own Adam Levy, singer/songwriter of the Honeydogs, who will bring to the stage his solo acoustic talent. He has shared stages with INXS, Aimee Mann, Lucinda Williams, Jon Bon Jovi, The Barenaked Ladies, Dido, and many more. In addition to sharing his music with the world, he shares his knowledge as a Student Success Coordinator and teacher of career opportunities in the music industry at IPR.

The IPR sponsored show will also feature Washington native, but Minnesotan at heart, Jeremy Messersmith. The singer/songwriter, who once handed out packaged albums in brown paper bags, will dominate the air with his simple story telling, and melodically rich songs. The up-and-coming artist is currently working on his second independent release with Grammy Award-winner Dan Wilson.
