April, the second proper studio album from former Red House Painters front man Mark Kozelek under the name Sun Kil Moon (not including all Modest Mouse covers album Tiny Cities) was recorded at Hyde Street Studios in San Francisco and Well Recording in Seattle during a seven month stretch from spring to late summer 2007. Will Oldham, Ben Gibbard and Eric Pollard lend their backing vocals throughout the album. Initial copies of the album come with a bonus disc of 4 alternate recordings. The album will also be available for digital download in both mp3 and flac starting later today (March 18th) from Caldo Verde and a vinyl version will follow later this spring.
